La littérature, tremplin d’humanité
Dans un texte récent, Lettre sur le rôle de la littérature dans la formation, le pape porte un regard très nouveau sur ce que peut apporter la littérature à la foi. Il ne s’agit plus de retenir certains livres et d’en condamner d’autres mais de faire miel de tout ce qui s’écrit pour en découvrir la part d’humanité. Les livres élargissent nos horizons et nous ouvrent à l’altérité. Les articles de ce numéro de la Lettre aux communautés entrent en résonance avec le propos du pape et montrent comment la foi peut se nourrir de toute littérature.
Invocation
Le livre est un seuil à partir duquel des voix différentes incarnées dans les personnages mis en scène interpellent le lecteur pour créer un dialogue avec lui. C’est ce qu’évoque Sylvie Germain dans son article. Le livre ouvre à l’intelligence de la fraternité. Il en montre à la fois la force et la beauté mais aussi la violence dont elle peut être porteuse.
La Bible : quand la Parole donne la parole
Les textes bibliques nous donnent la Parole de Dieu. Mais leur lecture renforce aussi notre propre parole. Ils la nourrissent et la suscitent. C’est ce que montre Isabelle Carlier. La dimension poétique de la parole biblique provoque des déplacements par rapport à nos représentations habituelles. Les textes peuvent être des passerelles qui nous acheminent vers d’autres horizons.
